$10 Lunch Menu

Munich Brauhaus, The Bavarian and The Bavarian Beerhaus are unveiling an exciting line-up of bang-for-your-buck lunch deals, St Paddy’s day antics and a two-day festival in honour of Bavaria’s strongest beers.

All Bavarian restaurants are launching a fantastic, value-packed, lunch menu, on offer from Monday,
11 March. The menu, available from Monday to Thursday each week, includes a range of $10 dishes.

Sloppy fries are tricked up with a generous topping of chilli con carne, melted cheese and onion jus, and taste as ridiculously good as they sound. They’re meaty, spicy and oozing with cheese – a perfect meal for
mid-week, price-conscious pleasure seekers.

Burger lovers can get their fix with the southern-fried chicken burger. A crisp and tender, buttermilk-brined chicken fillet is topped with iceberg lettuce, cheddar cheese and house-made jalapeno dressing, and sits between a soft milk bun.

A fragrant and spice-packed curried vegetable pie is the ultimate vegetarian option. A crispy, puff-pastry parcel is filled with lentils, pumpkin, peas and cauliflower and seasoned with aromatic Indian spices. Served with a garden salad and sweet, spiced apple chutney, it’s a fresh, filling and affordable lunch-time meal.

A kransky sandwich is also excellent value for money and pays homage to traditional Bavarian flavours. A spicy pepper and cheese smoked kransky sausage is layered with gherkins, cabbage slaw, garlic dressing and sandwiched between a long, potato bun.

For those in search of something lighter, a fresh chicken wrap features crunchy cos lettuce, bacon, boiled eggs and avocado. Finished with a house-made Caesar dressing, it’s then wrapped in a soft, flour tortilla and toasted to perfection.

These ten buck meals can be bolstered with a range of $5 add-ons, including chicken wings, fries, mac and cheese balls, craft beers, house wines and soft drinks, enabling customers to indulge in two courses for just $15, or $20 with a drink.

On Sunday, 17 March, Munich Brauhaus, The Bavarian and The Bavarian Beerhaus are inviting diners to get their green on and celebrate the luckiest day of the year, St Patrick’s Day. Restaurants will serve a green-coloured beer in their famous 1-litre, glass boots ($25), as an ode to the Irish. A St Patrick’s Day loaded schnitzel ($30) will also be available: featuring cabbage, bacon, mash and gravy.

Munich Brauhaus’ Strong Beer Festival is back, taking place from Saturday, 23 March to Sunday 24, March. The annual event is a celebration of Bavaria’s biggest and best strong beers, which are sweeter, more full-bodied and slightly stronger than the average craft beer.

Over the weekend all Munich Brauhaus restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane will showcase a line-up of Bavaria’s biggest, boldest and strongest beers, including Red IPA, Oktoberfest Marzen, Red Bock, Imperial and Hofbrau Oktoberfest. Each is available in either 300ml, 500ml, or 1-litre steins.

The festivities kick off at 1pm, on Saturday, 23 March with a ceremonial tapping of the first strong beer kegs at each Munich Brauhaus. At 2pm guests can battle it out for the title of Sausage Eating Champion and a $50 bar voucher by demolishing the most sausages in under one minute.

A lively atmosphere will be fuelled by live oompah bands, on-stage yodelling, stein hoist and hold challenges, additional keg taps at 5pm and 8pm and a second sausage eating competition. Diners are encouraged to dress Bavarian style, with a $50 bar voucher up for grabs for the best dressed.

Throughout March, diners can go in the draw to win $2000. To enter, guests must purchase a loaded schnitzel ($30) and either a 500ml, or 1-litre stein of beer. Winners will be drawn on Sunday, 31 March.
