60 Years of Black Label Cabernet

Aug 21, 2017

60 Years of Black Label Cabernet

A milestone has been reached! One of Australia's most iconic, and collected, cabernet sauvignons, Wynns Black Label, is celebrating its 60th vintage release.

Wynns Senior Winemaker, Sue Hodder, who this year celebrates her 25th vintage with Wynns, says this is a genuine milestone for the team in Coonawarra. “The 2015 Black Label Cabernet embodies the heritage, the journey, and, of course the vintage. We have been eagerly anticipating this release for about a decade, and pleasingly, the quality of the 2015 vintage meets our high expectations. There are so many stories and anecdotes to tell around Wynns Black Label Cabernet; however with all these layers it is important to remember that the ultimate story is the wine in the glass.”

Available from Wednesday 2 August, Black Label Cabernet 2015, among other Wynns luxury wines, make up the 2017 Wynnsday collection:

 Black Label ‘60th Vintage Release’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

 Black Label Shiraz 2015

 V&A Lane Shiraz 2015

 V&A Lane Cabernet Shiraz 2015

 Johnson’s Block Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

 Michael Shiraz 2014

The 2017 Wynnsday Collection is available from Wednesday 2 August 2017 from fine wine retailers.
