The online delivery service, available at shop.fratellifresh.com.au/, will take orders daily, with those received by 7pm delivered the next day between 4pm and 8pm. There will be no deliveries on Sundays.
There is no additional fee for delivery. Customers can also pick up orders kerbside from Darling Harbour Monday to Saturday, between 2pm and 4pm.
Fresh meals prepared to order by Fratelli Fresh chefs include four-person serves of beef lasagne and vegetarian lasagne, and 500g or 1kg portions of pumpkin soup, chicken and vegetable soup, pork and beef Bolognese sauce, pesto, lamb ragu, and Napolitana tomato sauce. Pizza packs are also available, enabling customers to build, top and cook pizzas at home.
Dry goods include 500g bags of fusilli, rigatoni, spaghetti, and penne pasta; 1kg bags of flour, sugar, and rice; as well as tinned tomatoes, cannellini beans and chick peas; and jars of olives, anchovies, and arrabiata sauce.
Fresh fruit and vegetables include onions, potatoes, tomatoes, broccoli, zucchini, carrots, celery, mushrooms, fennel, sweet potato, lettuce, apples, bananas, avocado, oranges, and lemons, as well as fresh herbs, and eggs by the dozen.
Drinks include cold-pressed orange and green juices, sparkling and still water, Bonsoy soy milk and MilkLab almond milk. A substantial selection of alcohol is also available, including sparkling, red and white wines – available as single bottles and packs of six; spirits including Aperol, Campari, gin, vodka and Jack Daniel’s whiskey, and six-packs of beer by 4 Pines, Corona and Asahi. All-essential toilet roll and hand soap are also available.
Smart shoppers can bag a discount with a selection of small and large ‘meal deals’ that comprise a selection of dried pasta, fresh pasta sauces, bottled water, and wine.
Rockpool Dining Group (which owns Fratelli Fresh) is currently moving resources from across the group to scale up the program and support the large, expected volume.
Rockpool Dining Group Chief Executive Officer Thomas Pash said the service launched on Saturday, 21 March, with a fantastic response from customers. “We are working closely with suppliers and our grocery list is locked in for the first few weeks,” Mr Pash said. “After that, we will reassess stock availability on a weekly basis and update our online grocery list accordingly, including adding new items and house-made meals.”
Deliveries will be made to the Eastern suburbs, South Sydney, Sutherland Shire, Sydney CBD, Inner West, North Sydney, Manly and Brookvale (See website for specific suburbs.)
