JOB DESCRIPTION

The Glen Hotel is an award winning family owned and operated hotel located on the south side of Brisbane with great access to Brisbane CBD, the Gold Coast, Brisbane airport and the Ipswich corridor. This first stage comprises boutique hotel rooms and suites to complement the existing hotel which offers restaurants, function facilities, bars, gaming and retail businesses.

An exciting opportunity exists to join the team in the role of Accommodation Duty Manager.

Your role –

  • Shift management of all hotel operations
  • Effective management of all guest arrivals and departures ensuring that check in and check out procedures are followed
  • Staff management including training and development to ensure team members exceed our guest's expectations at all times
  • Preparation of reports
  • Work closely with the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments to ensure that the hotel is clean and well maintained at all times
  • Maximize room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
  • Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office Team Members with an emphasis on training and teamwork
  • Monitor staffing levels to cover business demands
  • Reconcile daily financial transactions ensuring that city ledger accounts are processed
  • General night duties, including checking the security and cleanliness of the resort

Front of Desk Supervisor

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous supervisory experience in Front Office with in a 4/5 star hotel or resort, previous Night Audit experience preferable.
  • Exceptional organisational, time management and communication skills
  • Eye for detail and accuracy
  • Previous experience using Micros Opera is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Be able to work various shifts including evenings, nights and weekends
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Hands on approach
