JOB DESCRIPTION

Tonka was opened in 2012 and quickly became one of Melbournes iconic instituitions, offering a warm and intimate enviroment with a casual yet sophisticated feel. Located in vibrant Flinders Lane, Tonka is a modern interpretation of indian classics.  We are on the hunt for experienced bartenders to join the team for the busy summer ahead. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an extensive and innovative cocktail menu and have good knowledge of classic cocktails
  • Engage with guests, providing recommendations and ensuring a memorable experience
  • Assist in the development of new cocktails and drinks menu
  • Maintain a clean and organised bar
  • Stocktake and ordering 

 

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Bartender
Cocktail Bartender

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect with guests and staff
  • A proactive attitude and a desire to grow with a professional team

Induction/onboarding required prior to starting role
