What You’ll Be Doing

As the Assistant Café Manager, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and delivering exceptional customer service are key. You’ll be responsible for serving customers efficiently, managing transactions through our POS system, and maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace in line with Fresh+ standards. You’ll also assist in preparing a variety of food and beverages.

Your role will include a mix of hands-on service and operational support, including:

  • Overseeing both café sites
  • Supporting the Café Manager with daily operations such as:
    • Banking and cash handling
    • Processing invoices
    • Placing orders and managing inventory
    • Conducting stocktakes
  • Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues
  • Leading by example and motivating the team

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

  • 3+ years of hospitality experience
  • Strong knowledge of general café operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Catering experience is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in a supervisory position is also desirable
  • Strong barista skills are absolutely essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and reliability
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Unrestricted working rights
