Kiwanda Café is looking for a passionate and motivated Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team!

Conveniently located at the midway point between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Kiwanda Café resides in Australia’s newest food and entertainment venue – Distillery Road Market.

The position available is Full Time offering 38 hours per week. Seven-day flexibility is required including early morning opens, evening closes, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating employees’ schedules
• Staff training and development
• Delivering excellence in customer service
• Managing employee performance
• WH&S and Food Safety compliance
• Product ordering and stock control
• Exceptional customer service
• Overseeing day to day procedures and operations
• Menu development
• Maintaining venue standards, including cleaning and product quality
• Supporting and assisting Venue Manager and Kitchen Manager
• Monitoring portion controls and GP’s
• Following and upholding opening and closing procedures
• Leading service and directing the team with good communication
• Executing prep lists and maintaining stock levels

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years high volume kitchen experience
• Knowledge of Food Safety requirements
• Conflict resolution
• Solutions focused
• Thrive working in a fast paced, team environment
• Strong understanding of high-volume operations
• Ablility to meet deadlines
• Current RSA required
