JOB DESCRIPTION

Located in the heart of Rozelle on Darling Street, the Sackville Hotel has been a stalwart of the community since 1876.

The Sackville has a bunch of delicious food and drink specials throughout the week to feed the good folks of Rozelle, coupled with trivia nights, sporting events and live music to let patrons kick up their heels.

From rumps and parmys to late night cocktails, margys and happy hour, we've got something for (nearly) every day of the week to keep our guests satisfied.
Whether our locals after a delicious pub feed from our seasonal menu, special events in our back bar, live sports or just a good old-fashioned schooner, we make our patrons feel welcome at the Sacky.

Adjoining the pub is The Sackville Bottle Shop, which has long been famous for its quality, selection, pricing and of course, customer service. Patrons can take home their favourite Pinot and chat to our friendly staff.

The Role

As Assistant Manager, you’ll be a hands on people leader who rolls their sleeves up and motivates the team.  Hospitality is first nature to you, developed from your time working and managing busy pub bistros and sports bars, to shaking it up at the bar with the crew and building relationships with incredible locals.     
Your role will involve all of the venue essentials including the day to day running of the shift, opening and closing the venue, back of house administration and banking, training and developing the team, hiring staff, rostering and assisting patrons. Motivating, inspiring and training your team will be at the forefront and ensuring the patron experience is paramount.
Experience working as an Assistant Manager or 2IC in some of Sydney’s most reputable community pubs will allow you to hit the ground running. Come pour with us @ The Sacky.
