The Courthouse Hotel aka 'The Courty' is a Newtown icon. Vibrant, welcoming and a bit rough around the edges, it's a familiar, welcoming & a safe space for the Inner West community.

Being home to the most loved beer garden in Newtown, our local patrons enjoy soaking up the sun whilst enjoying a few beers and sharing food from our tasty pub menu. The Role

As Assistant Manager, you’ll be a hands on people leader who rolls their sleeves up and motivates the team.  Hospitality is first nature to you, developed from your time working and managing busy local pubs and sports bars, to shaking it up at the bar with the crew and running elevated pub classics to patrons. 

Your role will involve all of the venue essentials including the day to day running of the shift, opening and closing the venue, back of house administration and banking, training and developing the team, hiring staff, rostering and assisting patrons. Motivating, inspiring and training your team will be at the forefront and ensuring the patron experience is paramount.

Experience working as an Assistant Manager or Duty Manager in some of Sydney’s most best community pubs or small bars will set you up for success.
