The Blue Tongue Wine Bar in the heart of Elwood has been a busy iconic venue in Elwood for over 25 years. 

Our family run business is looking for an experienced Bar Manager to run and manage our busy bar.

Working with a small team in a fun, dynamic and unique friendly local based  wine bar restaurant environment. 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Unparalleled passion for people, food, beverage and service.
• Be an exceptional mentor and leader and to nurture and develop our people
• Oversee the recruitment, training and development of the bar teams
• Ability to control of the beverage department including menu creation - no contracts locked in and freedom to make changes as appropriate
• Ensure RSA compliance at all times and confidence to deal with the VCGLR and other authorities
• Conduct weekly stocktake's with our Assistant Manager and analyse variance reports
• Strong attention to detail and passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Daily cash up and reconciliation.
• Computer literacy competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and POS systems
• Creativity, innovation and initiative
• Maturity and be a self-starter with independent time management and work flow skills
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Have at least 1 year experience in a similar role. 

Dress is Smart Casual - Minimum at least 1 year experience in previous role.
