JOB DESCRIPTION

Bring your passion for guest experience and premium beverage to our spectacular 90 seat french neighbourhood restaurant! 

Located in the heart of Rozelle on Darling Street, the Sackville Hotel has been a stalwart of the community since 1876.
 
In 2023, the Sackville Hotel debuted it's new 90 seat restaurant Chez Blue which has been charming our local patrons ever since. 

Inspired by the flavours, scents and warmth of a classic Parisian neighbourhood restaurant, Chez Blue (pronounced shay-blew) is a casual neighbourhood bistrot, celebrating delicious French cuisine right in the beating heart of Rozelle.

With an exceptional wine list and a stellar cocktail offering, this is the opportunity for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager with a passion for premium beverage to lead, inspire and mentor our team.

REQUIREMENTS

The Role

Overseeing our a la carte restaurant, the role will be to manage the day to day running of the restaurant and to execute a high standard of customer service for our guests.  A keen wine & beverage aficionado, your role will also be to drive our wine & beverage program at The Sackville. 

With a loyal local following of neighbourhood patrons, we are looking to create warm, friendly and engaging service that is well executed and professional.
  
The role will involve all the venue essentials including the day to day running of the shift, opening, and closing the venue, back of house administration and banking, training, and developing the team, beverage list creation, hiring staff, rostering and assisting patrons, overseeing restaurant financials and more.

Motivating, inspiring, training your team and ensuring the guest experience is flawless will be at the forefront of your role.

Having worked in some of Sydney’s best restaurants, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to bring their flair, passion, and leadership experience to our venue.  A passion for beverage creation or a WSET qualification will be highly regarded.
