Melbourne Hospitality People offer four award winning venues, all with a different aesthetic. We encompass, Republica, Captain Baxter, Encore & Mr McCracken. 

Three of our venues are situated in an idyllic location on St Kilda Beach, whilst one resides in the vibrant area of Essendon.

About The Role/What We Are Looking For:

In this full time role, we're looking for a candidate who can be hands-on, friendly and reliable with the ability to work well under pressure. Clear communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate should lead by example and be able to work effectively in a team.

We enjoy working with people from all areas of Hospitality, whether a Person has worked in a more Function-Based Venue, Cocktail Bar, Gastro-Pub or Family Restaurant, our Venues thrive on our staff bringing new outlooks and experiences. 

 

Duties Include: 

  • The maintenance of guest service, front of house presentation and F&B quality;
     
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in guest service, front of house
     
  • Presentation and F&B quality; the monitoring of service and food standards of competitive businesses;
     
  • Overseeing the proper induction/orientation of all new staff
     
  • Ensuring the maintenance of both high productivity and positive staff morale
     
  • The setting of financial targets for all subordinate supervisors
     
  • Assisting the Venue Manager with tasks and other duties

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Assistant Manager
Food & Beverage Manager
Restaurant Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Strong presence on the floor, confidence in opening and closing procedures.
