JOB DESCRIPTION

Firebird on High Street, in Prahran is seeking out a new Assistant Venue Manager as our current legend is finally getting to travel!



Firebird is a part of COMMUNE GROUP which consists of such restaurants as Tokyo Tina, New Quarter, Hanoi Hannah and Moonhouse. 

Our team is passionate, engaged, and excited about Asian cuisine and the dining industry as a whole. We are constantly joining exciting events around the city and have a strong passion for food and creativity. 

 

Open since February 2020, Firebird menu serves up fire focused grill-driven Vietnamese - intensified over charcoal and flames in a custom-built chargrill and wood-fired oven, which takes pride of place in the restaurant’s open kitchen. We love to burn things.

Take one look at the beautiful wood-fired oven – which is lit early in the morning and gains heat throughout the day – and you’ll see what this eatery is all about: smoke, flames and Vietnamese-style fare.

WHAT YOU DO:

  • The ability to create a highly engaged and positive team Culture
  • Hands on approach to staff training and cost management
  • Experience in wine knowledge, pairing and upselling techniques (preffered but not nesscary)
  • Exceptional communication skills with employees and customers
  • Knowledge of operations within a restaurant/bar environment (or a willingness to learn)

Must have experience in a supervisory/management role in a restaurant setting.
