JOB DESCRIPTION

The Waterloo Hotel is undoubtedly a Brisbane landmark, with spectacular Art Deco architecture and the proud facade dominating the busy intersection of Ann & Commercial in Fortitude Valley.

With the finest selection of wine, premium beer and fresh food, The Waterloo is the perfect establishment to make an impression, leaving cutomers with lasting memories.

James and the team are on the hunt for a Assistant Venue Manager to join the existing management team. 

The successful candidate must be a strong leader with good communication skills who is comfortable leading and inspiring the team.

  • Has a passion for the industry and are committed to a successful career in hospitality
  • Projects a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude at all times
  • Enjoys working with others in a team environment, whilst leading from the front
  • Possesses exceptional customer service and presentation skills
  • Has both restaurant and extensive bar service experience
  • Thrives under pressure
  • Hands on management of the venue including day to day operations
  • Maintaining and exceeding overall minimum standards
  • Training and development of staff to ensure a consistently amazing customer experience
  • Ensuring policies, procedures and standards are current, effective and clearly communicated

REQUIREMENTS

Essential requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong food, beverage, functions and gaming knowledge
  • Career minded with exceptional leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • QLD RMLV and Approved Managers Licence
