We are looking for an experienced manager to join the team.  Hophaus – a dynamic European-style bar and bistro located on Southbank, where the heart of Melbourne meets the breathtaking views of the Yarra River. Known for our contemporary vibes, we are a place where locals and tourists come together to revel in good food, delightful drinks, and a genuine love for both local and imported beers.

Role Overview:

As our Assistant Venues Manager, you'll be an integral part of our operational excellence. Your role will involve ensuring that every aspect of our venue - from the bustling beer hall to the elegant dining room and spacious outdoor terrace - is running seamlessly and upholding our standards of exceptional service.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with our General Manager to drive excellence in customer service, staff performance, and daily operations.
• Lead by example by actively participating in front-of-house activities, setting the standard for service quality.
• Guide and inspire the team, offering training and mentorship to enhance their skills and foster a positive environment.
• Assist in managing inventory, ordering, and stock control to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
• Handle guest feedback and concerns with professionalism and effective problem-solving.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow and consistent food quality.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and evolution of our offerings.
