We are currently looking for Banquets/Event Supervisors to join our Event Operations Team.   In this role you will support the Leadership team in ensuring successful food and beverage service in events, conferences and banquets.  With a commitment to providing a high calibre of service you will possess natural leadership abilities and be able to motivate employees within this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Attending to planning duties in the lead up to events such attending event meetings, liaising with the Assistant Floor Manager in charge about event requirements and reading the event resume to ensure a complete understanding and knowledge of the event;
• Ensuring all room sets, bars and back of house areas are completed within timeframes ready for service;
• Supervising team members and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service;
• Hands on service during the events as required;
• Assisting in the training and development of team members; and
• Conducting event briefings prior to service with team members.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• Solid leadership experience in a hospitality or function environment, preferably from a 5-star establishment;
• Proven communication, leadership, time management and organisational skills;
• The natural ability to create a positive experience for our guests and a fun and energetic work environment for our team; 
• A strong commitment and desire to providing consistent excellent guest service;
• Proactive problem solving and decision making skills;
• Excellent presentation and style;
• Enthusiasm, energy and a “can do” attitude;
• The ability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late nights and weekends;
• A current QLD RSA Statement of Attainment; and
• Working experience within the Microsoft Office suite.
