JOB DESCRIPTION

Job brief

Here at Nortons, we are looking for an enthusiastic Bartender to provide a memorible guest drinking/dining experience. Good Bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. We are looking for up beat individuals that strive to progress themselves and the team they are working with on a day to day basis. We pride ourselves on being part of the Living Wage Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons

  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks

  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

  • Ensure the whole shift is carried out as productivly as possible

  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age

  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements and skills

  • Must be able to start work this Christmas

  • 2+ years hospitality experiance required

  • Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks

  • The ability to think on your feet and problem solve during busy service

  • Avalibility to work through the night at a high standard

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean

  • Relevant training certificate
