Suga is an awesome cocktail bar situated at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast, specializing in cocktails, rum and whiskey.

We are looking for an experienced cocktail bartender looking to step into a management role and who has their RMLV or willing to obtain.

Tasks and duties:

• Bartender making awesome cocktails and pouring beers.
• Supervising and supporting staff.
• Monitoring bar, restaurant and conference facilities.
• Ensuring compliance with liquor, gaming and associated laws and regulations.
• Reconciliation and accounting of cash registers and EFTPOS terminals.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction with service and resolving issues when they arise.
• Supervising stock control and bar activities.
• Managing compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Working with security to log incidents and manage clientele.
• Ensuring the bar is kept clean during and at the end of each shift.

Applicants must have:

• Previous bar management experience or several years cocktail bartending experience
• Excellent grooming and presentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Restaurant and Host experience highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail
• Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits and beer
• Experience in cost control and revenue generation
• Ability to effectively manage, train and develop a team
• Experience in developing and executing small bar promotions
• Be able to work a roster that includes - evenings, weekends and public holidays.
