JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a reliable, professional, and enthusiastic bartender with experience in busy rooftop settings? Bar Ombre, located in the heart of Circular Quay with stunning views of Sydney, is currently seeking a skilled bartender to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and specialty drinks.
  • Provide excellent customer service, engaging with patrons and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service times.
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately.
  • Uphold the bar's image and reputation by maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Continuously learn and keep up-to-date with new drink trends and mixology techniques.
  • Assist with inventory management, restocking, and ordering supplies as needed.

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as a bartender in a busy environment, preferably on a rooftop or high-volume setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktails, and various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work efficiently and remain composed under pressure during peak hours.
  • Proficiency in handling cash transactions and using POS systems.
  • A responsible and reliable work ethic, with a commitment to punctuality.
  • Must be of legal drinking age and hold any required certifications for alcohol service in Sydney.
  • A flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
