JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an energetic and experienced Barista to join our team! This role would suit someone who is happy and flexible enough to work as a barista and as a cafe all rounder when required. Covering shifts at our Marrickville, Newtown and Alexandria may be required from time to time.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Previous hospitality/café experience
  • Available 3-5 days per week approx 20-35 hours
  • Someone happy to serve customers over the counter and make coffee
  • Previous experience in coffee making, weighing and timing shots and latte art
  • Passion for the service industry and an interest in food/baking/artisan bread/pastry/coffee
  • Can-do attitude is essential
  • Customer service excellence and proactive approach to creating a warm and friendly community environment
  • Punctuality is essential
  • Can work quickly and efficiently
  • Well-presented & safety conscious
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Is happy to work as both barista and all rounder when required
  • Some early morning starts (5.30 am)
  • Week days and weekend availability
