Blackstar Coffee Roasters is looking for EXPERIENCED BARISTA with potential for future leadership / management position.
Ideally we’re looking for crew with “specialty coffee” knowledge and background. However we are also interested in candidates with commercial barista backgrounds who are looking for an upgrade and want to learn.
WHAT EVEN IS SPECIALTY COFFEE? We’re talking about the pursuit of flavor, using high-quality single-origin coffees, alternative brewing methods, specialty coffee equipment, passion for knowledge regarding processing methods etc.
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
PRE-REQUISITES
Minimum 2 years experience as a Barista.
High level latte art skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Hospo hustle and energy to clean and work ethic.
Humble, friendly, hard working demeanour.
JOB DETAILS
Permanent Position (full time or part-time)
Involves Skills Boost Funding (therefore involves on the job traineeship)
Pay will be at least Level 3 Restaurant Award. But happy to discuss Level 4 or 5 -related to knowledge/skills/role etc
