JOB DESCRIPTION

New Cafe Launching 29th 2021 - Summer Hill - NSW 2130

Reporting to the Café Manager, the successful applicant ( Head Barista ) must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in modern and high-volume Cafés.

The key responsibilities of the position are:

  •  Prepare and serve coffee
  • Maintaining daily operations of coffee areas
  • Maintaining par levels of stock
  • Delivering service excellence
  • Operate POS

 

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Barista

Please note: No previous experience required for this job.

REQUIREMENTS

The right person will have:

  • Strong Barista skills, (espresso, pour over etc.) particularly when working at high volume
  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage safety standards and relevant legislation
  • Ability to maintain high performance and behavioural standards while under pressure
  • Ability to make people feel welcome and remembered 
  • Proven people management skills
  • Advanced barista, organisation & communication skills

In addition to the above criteria, attention to detail, high levels of energy, willingness to work flexible hours (which includes weekend and public holiday work) and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, is what is required to successfully undertake this position.
