VenuesLive is looking for an experienced Barista / Café Allrounder to join our casual team at Tom’s Kitchen. Located within the home of Queensland Ballet, Tom’s Kitchen is a vibrant all-day café offering a bold, produce-driven menu designed for both quick bites and leisurely brunches. With a focus on local ingredients and seasonal flavours, the café caters to everyone – from dancers and creatives to West End locals, professionals, and precinct visitors.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

• Deliver warm, professional customer service
• Operate café equipment including espresso machine and POS system
• Make a variety of hot and cold beverages
• Assist with food preparation
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming café environment
• Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
• Maintain food safe practices at all times
• Assist with maintenance of stock levels
• Ensure tables are clear and clean 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to bring with you:

• Previous hospitality or café experience is essential
• Barista experience is essential for Barista applicants
• A strong focus on customer service—our guests come first
• Positive attitude, hands-on approach, and genuine passion for hospitality

In addition to the above criteria, attention to detail, a customer focus, high levels of energy, willingness to work flexible hours across a 7 day roster (which includes weekend work) and a positive ‘can do’ attitude, is what is required to successfully undertake this position.
