We're on the hunt for a bartender who's equal parts mixologist, people person, and all-around legend. You'll be the face of Burly Bar, creating killer cocktails and memorable moments for our guests every single day.

Sure, you'll be running the day-to-day bar operations and crafting sophisticated drinks alongside our tight-knit crew. But here's where it gets interesting – this isn't your typical bartending gig. We're looking for someone who wants to help build something special from the ground up: the Burly Bar beverage program.

And it doesn't stop there. The right person will have the chance to grow with us across the entire Burly Gin business, think brand activations, trade training, and becoming a genuine advocate for what we're creating.

Burly Bar, Currumbin, Gold Coast

Burly Bar is where the magic happens,  an award-winning, drink-focused hangout that's so much more than just a bar. It's the beating heart of Burly Gin, a place where our spirit (pun intended) comes to life.

We're all about creating those "I need to tell everyone about this place" moments. Think laidback vibes, genuinely warm hospitality, and drinks and dishes that'll have people talking long after last call.

Nestled in Currumbin on the Southern Gold Coast, we're open Wednesday through Sunday, and in no time flat, we've become the spot everyone's buzzing about.

Burly Gin

We craft multi-award-winning gins in Burleigh Heads, utilizing predominantly locally sourced ingredients across our range, which includes Burly Cucumber, Burly Citrus, and Burly Berry.

Burly represents more than exceptional liquid in a distinctively designed bottle. Our brand embodies a sense of place and captures the essence of Gold Coast living – the people, the lifestyle, and the memories that define this unique region.

We've experienced significant growth and momentum, with 2026 projected to be our most successful year to date as we continue to expand our presence in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing all customers with memorable, personal and unique drinking and dining experiences
• Ensuring the product is consistently of a high standard
• Bar preparation, set-up and standards maintained at the highest level
• Be the face of the Burly Bar and be involved with drinks led content creation
• Placing bar orders with supplier
• Placing bar orders with kitchen
• Cash handling and till balancing

What are we looking for:

• 2+ years experience in a busy cocktail bar
• Excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer and wine preferred
• Excellent ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for hospitality and a desire to further your career in this industry
• An engaging personality and warmth that staff and customers gravitate towards
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• Well-presented candidates with a professional attitude
• Team player attitude and commitment to high-end service, delivering quality beverages
• Current RSA (required)
