JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Back Of House Training Coordinator who has a passion for consistency, teamwork and producing great quality food!  This person will train cooks and chefs while supporting the day-to-day operations of the kitchens across Australia.

The Opportunity

  • Side-by-side training of our BOH teams from the head chef to the kitchen hand 
  • Hands-on training and coaching in our venues to optimise our teams' performance 
  • Coordinating the training programs for our BOH teams 
  • Open new venues as we expand
  • Working in our venues in Melbourne, and interstate as required 

In this role, you will report to the BOH Training Manager. 

  • You will create your schedule and manage your time to suit the training needs and the needs of the business
  • Identify training needs and action deficiencies 
  • Plan career pipeline progression for BOH teams 
  • Participate in high-level strategic learning and implementation

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Executive Chef
Head Chef
Crew Trainer

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

What are we looking for? 

  • Qualified Chef with 5-10 Years of industry experience
  • Cert IV cookery preferred but industry management experience ok
  • Must have sound cooking skills and experience in running busy a venue/s.
  • Experience in training is important, and a passion for learning is a must.
  • Have an eye for innovation in established systems
  • Be able to run a busy service 
  • Have a passion to develop talent
  • An individual who has a passion for leadership, consistency and teamwork
  • A focus on producing excellent quality food through the preparation and delivery of our fantastic menu within a high-volume restaurant and pub environment
  • Adhering to best practice systems, cleanliness, food safety and kitchen hygiene
  • An ability to train, coach and develop team members
