JOB DESCRIPTION

A responsible individual who will take ownership of their role and has a passion for outstanding food and service along with being a professional team player. The Reaper awaits someone driven to bring their craft and create an exciting new element to our family owned business.

This role includes:

  • Kitchen staffing & training
  • menu development and creation
  • Controlling and reporting food costs
  •  Correctly manage health and safety in the
    kitchen, implementing the FCP. 
  • Correctly manage the ordering process daily and
    liaise with suppliers when needed.
  • Manage deliveries and invoices of goods being
    delivered.

This role is suited to a highly organised individual; as the scope of the venue will be offering to begin with, a daytime a la carte menu and cabinet food throughout the day, eventually expanding to include an evening bar/ tapas menu.

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
• Relevant kitchen qualifications
• Food hygiene and safety certificate

Experience:
• At least 2 years experience working in a leading chef position.
• Good experience in all aspects of kitchen management including administration, recruitment,
training and trouble shooting.
• Experience in managing small teams.
• Experience in dealing with various contractors and suppliers

Skills/Competencies:
• Strong leadership and motivational skills along with an ability to nurture and develop the skills and
involvement of other team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, both within and outside the
organisation and sometimes under stressful or even confrontational circumstances
• Ability to use balanced judgment and make well assessed decisions for the business when
required
• A reasonable level of computer literacy
