Due Passi is looking for a qualified cafe manager. The successful applicant will work with an experienced team in the front of house and have the following duties:

• Operate the point of sale and oversee the day-to-day running of the cafe
• Build and maintain relationships with customers
• Work closely with the chef and barista to coordinate supply orders
• Work closely with the cafe owners to ensure smooth running of the business
• Function management including taking bookings, organising set up and preparation of kitchen
• Hire, train and supervise new floor staff
• Maintain a clean environment, appropriate food handling and safety standard at all times
• Other duties as required

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be more than competent and confident running an (at times and especially on weekends) very busy suburban cafe.

For this role we require all applicants to have a minimum of two years experience working on the floor, customer facing, in a busy cafe.

• RSA
• Ordering skills
• Strong communication skills and ability
• Reliable, honest and punctual
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Clear communication with kitchen and other staff
• Customer service and attentiveness is essential
• Must be flexible on weekends

Ability to operate and produce excellent coffee is preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate will be able to maintain a clear head under pressure and work calmly in, at times, an extremely busy and stressful environment.
