The Venue

Nestled in the heart of Boonah, a charming rural town with over a century of history, our newly restored heritage pub is a rare gem in the Scenic Rim. Renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, Boonah offers a serene escape into Queensland’s countryside, where life moves at a gentler pace.

Our beautifully preserved Queenslander Hotel provides a Food, Bar and Gaming and Botlleshop offering.

From hearty counter meals in the iconic public bar to a new onsite Brewery and Bistro serving pub classics. We are celebrating the Scenic Rim surrounds through a paddock-to-plate philosophy and commitment to sustainability.

About the Roles

As the word gets out about our newly renovated venue, we are seeking experienced Bar, and Bistro and Bottleshop staff to help deliver exceptional front-of-house service!

The role will be a hospitality all-rounder and will be part of a larger team to provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide outstanding service throughout their experience.

  • Present menus, provide detailed information about dishes or drinks and make tailored recommendations.

  • Take accurate food and drink orders, serve promptly, and handle transactions smoothly.

  • Stock shelves and fridges, roating stock inf working across the bar and bistro

  • Prepare tables and keep the dining and bar areas clean and organised.

  • Communicate order details to the kitchen and ensure that dishes are served correctly and promptly.

  • Uphold health and safety standards, including food and beverage regulations.

What We’re Looking For

  • All Bar and Bottleshop staff must have a current RSA

  • At least 1 years of experience in a similar role within a busy pub, bistro, restaurant or bottleshop environment.

  • Proven work experience as a Waiter/Waitress/Bar Attendant or Bottleshop attendant.

  • Multiple roles available and we can take staff that prefer to work in either bar or Bistro or bottleshop or all three. Training will be provided . 

  • Hands-on experience with POS systems, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to multitask.

  • Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team.
