We’re looking for a chef/cook with experience to help out during events . We host predominantly private events such as weddings or cocktail parties on Friday and Saturday nights, though there may also be some mid-week and Sunday work available as we also operate a cafe Monday to Friday As shifts can be sporadic the role really suits someone studying or with another job looking to earn extra income.
Tasks includes…
- prep and ensuring food safety standards are met
- creating high quality food that is beautifully presented
- ensuring service timings are met
- liaising with clients to ensure they have the best possible experience
Previous experience in a similar environment is essential, as is an eye for detail, responsible attitude and a passion for producing delicious food. Pizza making experience is a bonus.
We offer a fantastic venue to work in. There is also flexibility with shifts.

Lightspace is a unique warehouse venue in Brisbane’s creative precinct of Fortitude Valley. With ample open space, the venue can be booked as one 660m2 room, or two distinct internal spaces. These can be subdivided into smaller areas for more intimate functions. Each hire has exclusive use as we never host two events at the same time.
