We are currently seeking a dedicated and organised Catering Assistant to join our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchens.

Position Overview: As a Catering Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring our kitchens are well-stocked and efficiently run. Your responsibilities will include maintaining stock levels, receiving and inspecting incoming goods, and distributing stock and equipment across all our kitchens. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining Stock Levels: Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure all kitchens have the necessary supplies.
• Receiving Incoming Goods: Accept deliveries, verify the quantity and quality of goods, and ensure they are stored correctly.
• Inspecting for Damage: Check for any damage to received goods and report any issues to management.
• Regular Stocktaking: Conduct regular inventory checks to track stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
• Distributing Stock and Equipment: Efficiently distribute stock and equipment across all kitchens as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role or in a catering environment minimum 2 years preferred.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle stock and equipment with care.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety standards related to food handling.
