Alba is on the lookout for a new chef to come and be a part of our small team. 

Alba has the feel of a neighbourhood bar in the middle of the city. It brings together delicious bites inspired by Spain, cocktails created by some of Brisbane’s most respected and a wine list that will keep you guessing. Dont let the t-shirts and sneakers fool you, there is some serious experience in here. So from aperitivo hour to way after dark, Alba has you covered.

With all this in mind, our perfect candidate will be able to work in conjunction with the whole team on creating new dishes as new produce becomes available. They will have an interest in Spanish cuisine and the flavours particularly coming from the Basque region. They will also either have some existing wine and spirit knowledge, or have an open mind to make this a part of the daily conversation.

Trainings and excursions will be organised to help further knowledge and give the team a connection to what we serve. Even though a lot of our produce is imported from Spain, where possible, we make sure to use as local as possible and celebrate those we work with.

We are a very cruisy and experienced team that wants to make delicious shit while listening to hip hop and we do it in T-shirts. If you think you can fit into this environment, then hit us up to have a chat. 

For the right candidate, this role would move into a leadership role and the kitchen would be yours to create so experience in similar responsible roles would benefit.
