Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year plus superannuation

We're seeking a seasoned Chef, someone who has honed their skills in a bustling environment for over two years. If you're a passionate and enthusiastic individual, your experience would be a perfect fit for this position at Enzo's Cucina.

To be successful, candidates need to have:

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the duties of kitchen staff.
  • Prepare and elegantly present food for both regular service and special events.
  • Design and create recipes and menus, considering factors like seasonal ingredient availability, expected customer volume, portion sizes, and final menu pricing.
  • Select high-quality ingredients to maximize the flavors of dishes.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of received products to ensure they meet the order specifications and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels to reduce wastage.
  • Examine equipment, work areas, and general supplies to ensure they comply with established health and safety standards.
  • Instruct kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation techniques.
  • Supervise and uphold sanitation protocols to ensure employees adhere to standards and regulations.
  • Provide costing of new menu items and discuss any issues with the manager and other staff
  • Conduct trials to develop innovative specialties that attract diners to the restaurant.
  • Procure food and additional supplies as required and store them accordingly.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant AQF qualification in Commercial Cookery and Hospitality
  • Two to three years of relevant experience in a hotel, café, or restaurant

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
