JOB DESCRIPTION

Sneaky Possum has established itself in the Chippendale Bar scene, with a sit up front bar featuring rotating fixtures of the best Aussie craft beers on tap and in cans, fully stocked spirit and wine back bar, open kitchen, ‘outback’ lounge area and upstairs function/gallery space.

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic chef to join our fun team and make their mark in our relaxed modern open kitchen.

The menu has evolved since Sneaky Possum’s opening in 2017, now featuring a more casual approach including share options, burgers and bowls. We are on the hunt for a passionate chef to elevate things to a new level while still keeping that Sneaky Possum flavour.

The successful applicant must have experience with:

  • Formal qualifications with minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Strong knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine including seafood and seasonal fruit and veg
  • Constructing innovative menu's in consultation with Management
  • Menu costing within designated budget
  • Ordering, receiving, food prep and handling
  • Working autonomously to plate up amazing meals
  • Deliver a quality product at all times based on high customers satisfaction of meals
  • Function experience
  • Maintenance of Health, Safety and Cleanliness standards and procedures
  • A happy, flexible and collaborative approach
