Nestled in The Star's lush tropical oasis on The Terrace, Level 4, this venue merges Southeast Asian and French influences into a menu bursting with vibrant flavors. Our central bar and late-night DJ set the stage for evenings filled with culinary delight and lively ambiance, making every visit to Lúc Lắc an unforgettable experience.

Open from lunch until late, our A La Carte and Banquet menus celebrate Queensland's finest produce, offering dishes that range from savory delights to indulgent desserts. Join us at Lúc Lắc and embark on a culinary journey where creativity knows no bounds.

What You'll Do:

  • Set up your workstation with all ingredients and equipment.
  • Prepare and cook dishes with creativity and precision, following the menu.
  • Ensure food costs are managed through portion control and waste reduction.
  • Monitor ingredient quality and stock levels, notifying the Sous Chef of shortages.
  • Maintain and clean kitchen equipment to ensure reliability.
  • Uphold health and safety standards, keeping your area clean and organised.
  • Mentor and manage junior staff, including Commis and Apprentices.
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with recruitment, training, and team development.

 


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Chef de Partie
Sous chef

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role and environment.
  • Expertise in various cooking methods, with specialisation in one or more areas.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards.
