JOB DESCRIPTION

Oliveto Ristorante & Bar, a well-established modern Italian style restaurant in Sydney, New South Wales, is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to bring their skill, creativity and passion to their business.

Located in Rhodes, New South Wales, Oliveto is renowned for its exceptional hospitality and relaxed atmosphere.

About you: This is a role for a strong, passionate chef with flair who leads by example.  

To be considered for this role you must be able to tick each of the criteria below:

• Minimum 2 years kitchen experience post apprenticeship

• Experience as a Chef de Partie will be a distinct advantage, but a great attitude is a must.

• Experience with Italian / contemporary Australian cuisine

• Proven commercial experience in all operational aspects of a kitchen

• Proven leadership skills

• Passionate and ambitious individual who takes pride in their work

• Team player with excellent mentoring, planning and organisational skills

• Positive attitude with a proactive manner

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong understanding of cost and quality control

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Duties and responsibilities: As a Chef de Partie you will be responsible for the preparation, presentation and display of all menu items in the designated area of the kitchen and for the maintenance of equipment and work area. As well as:

• Deliver high quality dishes consistently well in a fast-paced busy environment.

• Assist in the development of innovative menus and dishes

• Be responsible for stock control
