JOB DESCRIPTION

Orpheus Island Lodge is a remote five-star luxury property located North of Townsville. It is an all-inclusive, eco-friendly luxury island lodge, with just 14 rooms. 

This foodies lodge means each meal is an event in itself, from a'la carte breakfasts, to shared tapas-style lunches, to memorable tasting/degustation dinners. 

Our Kitchen offers daily changing menus that showcase the riches of the region, with a strong focus on local produce that is freshly caught and grown within 100km from the kitchen doorstep! 

We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team.

The role:

This position will best suit a chef with experience in remote luxury lodges / resorts or hatted restaurants.

  • Must be trade qualified
  • Minimum two years experience within a similar standard of kitchen
  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience in all cooking techniques and styles
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Supportive and strong team player
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Flexible approach
