JOB DESCRIPTION

About Us

Situated opposite Albert Park Lake, our dual-brand Hotel includes 378 rooms, Windows restaurant, Mortimer's Lounge and 31 conference and event spaces. We offer business and leisure travellers a lavish space to meet, rejuvenate and explore the city of Melbourne.  We are one of the city's largest five star conference & event venues catering for up to 1600 people at any one time.

Our professional and friendly kitchen team work closely with our Executive Chef and Food and Beverage department to deliver the highest level of food quality, and ensure our guests have a wonderful experience with us.

What We Are Looking For

  • A can-do attitude with a willingness to learn, and able to work in a high pressure environment
  • Great with a team and with demonstrated leadership skills and experience
  • Ability to run a kitchen department with support of junior team members
  • At least 3 years’ experience cooking in a well-established restaurant or full-service hotel 
  • Experience in a large events or conferencing venue will also be highly regarded
  • Familiar with food safety regulations and HACCP

REQUIREMENTS

What We Are Looking For

  • Trade qualifications with suitable previous experience in a similar role and environment
  • Working understanding and maintenance of food safety standards and HACCP
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • A professional appearance and friendly demeanor that will represent our brand well
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster which includes mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends
  • Working rights in Australia 
  • Commitment to undertake growth and development within the Pullman brand and Accor group
