About the Role....

Your main focus will be to provide fast and efficient service of food to patrons in a knowledgeable and professional manner, following the Club's Guidelines, Policies and Procedures.

 

In this role you will be required to:

  • Assist the Sous Chef with the day to day cooking and preparation in various outlets.
  • Lead and take responsibility of your designated section
  • Liaise with Sous Chef on daily basis
  • Implement new menu ideas
  • Maintain food costs at required level
  • Maintain high quality food standards
  • Comply with company policies & procedures
  • Comply with safety work procedures (PPE)
  • Use safe manual food handling techniques
  • Knowledge of food costs
  • Knowledge of food, recipes and methods
  • Daily preparation list
  • Adhere with all Blacktown Workers Club (Group) workplace policies and procedures;

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

About You...

To be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications, skills & experience:

  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Possess a "Yes, can do" attitude; and be keen to learn and grown skills
  • Experience in line cooking operations.
  • Qualification Certificate 3 (Commercial cookery)
  • Current Food Safety Certification
  • Ability to follow instruction;
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions;
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of WH&S policies & procedures;
