JOB DESCRIPTION

This business is seeking a experienced cook / aspiring chef to join its team at this busy central Highett café on a part-time basis. The role requires approximately 18 hours per week (including weekends) and is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, delicious meals to customers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes from the menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Assisting with menu planning and recipe development to continuously improve the café's offering.

  • Collaborating with the wider kitchen team to ensure the efficient running of the kitchen.

  • Undertaking any other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the café.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene

  • Australian work rights are required for this position.

  • Availability to work both Saturdays and Sundays is required.
