About the role:

Compass Group NZ are looking for Permanent Full Time Chefs to create an incomparable lounge experience that people value and remember within Qantas Lounge at Auckland Airport. The hours of work are 37.5hrs per week, rostered across AM & PM shifts, 7 days a week. Total flexibility therefore required.

The great things you'll do:

Reporting to the Head Chef, this key position, will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of the lounge menu cooking daily and most importantly providing a second to none experience to a large variety of airline passengers which use the lounge. This is a rare opportunity for a Chef to jump into a great team and work with them to continue building on the lounges current success to provide great service to the guests.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

If you are our perfect candidate you will:

  • Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen as a Chef
  • Be a hardworking team player who is able to work under pressure with a positive attitude
  • Have up to date knowledge of current Food Safety and Occupational Health and Safety legislation
  • Hold food safety Unit Standards 167 and 168 or equivalent
  • Demonstrate a passion for great food and quality.
  • Proven reliability.
  • Demonstrate experience of kitchen leadership and the ability to lead a team by building a motivated and cohesive unit.
  • Have the legal right to work in NZ
