The Centre

Our 149 centre at St Kilda is built around a 200-year-old Moreton Bay Fig Tree, which is the backdrop to our free flowing indoor/outdoor program. Located near public transport and with street parking in the surrounding streets the centre is also around the corner from St Kilda Botanical gardens and St Kilda beach. We are proud to have a culturally diverse team and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays throughout the year. In addition to events, our community-minded team organises regular visits to our neighboring Guardian centres, creating strong bonds between the children. 

The Opportunity

• Develop a seasonal, nutritious menu that respects individual requirements in regard to medical conditions, food preferences, and cultural considerations and ensures children’s health and wellbeing
• Ensure children’s health and wellbeing
• Building strong relationships with the centre Chef, the children, educators, families and the entire centre community
• Ensure best practice food safety and hygienic standards are always upheld.

To be considered, you will have:

• Food Safety Supervisor certificate
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards is desirable.
• An awareness of your personal responsibilities under the current Child Protection Laws
• Current Working with Children's Check or state-specific equivalent.
