ESS Defence has opportunities for qualified chefs and experienced cooks to join our fantastic team in the Albury Wodonga Military Area (Bandiana and Latchford Barracks). There is casual, part time and full time positions available and plenty of hours!

The Person:

  • Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery
  • Experience with bulk cooking an advantage, however not essential
  • HACCP Food handling experience
  • Attention to detail, fantastic food presentation and strong organisational skills.
  • Given the sites location, applicants must have their own transport and driver’s licence

The Position:

  • Preparing buffet style bulk cooking for a variety of service times including breakfast, lunch or dinner, desserts and functions
  • Ensure all OH&S compliance is achieved
  • Flexibility in your working approach i.e. working in a small team
  • Ensuring you follow all catering controls in place and wastage is kept to a minimum
  • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with our customers.

Candidates will be required to undertake an Australian national police check. This will be paid for by the Company.

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Chef: Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.

Cook: High level of bulk cooking experience.
