JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about the art of cooking and the world of gastronomy? Do you thrive in fast-paced kitchen environments, creating mouthwatering dishes that delight the senses? If so, we have the perfect opportunities for you to showcase your culinary skills and join our dynamic team of culinary professionals.

About Us

The Ville is tropical North Queensland’s premier destination for dining, events and entertainment; located in gorgeous Townsville boasting 300 days of sunshine every year. Rising from the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, The Ville combines casual sophistication with the vibrant, playful spirit of modern Australia. Featuring award winning restaurants, world-class facilities and entertainment, The Ville is one of Queensland’s hottest tourism destinations. We’re always on the lookout for the best and brightest talent across every aspect of hospitality, tourism, corporate services, gaming, and everything in between to give our guests an unmatched holiday experience.

Ardo is a brand new $88 million dollar hotel due to open in Townsville in late 2023. Its arrival brings elevated relaxation and rejuvenation to North Queensland’s premier leisure and entertainment precinct, nestled on the edge of the Coral Sea with uninterrupted views across to Magnetic Island. It’s sprawling hotel suites; world-class dining outlets – Marmor and Terasu; day spa; and signature rooftop pool deck and bar combine to celebrate the spirit of the tropics with unique Ardo flair.

Ardo’s signature steak and seafood restaurant, Marmor promises a true elevation of Australia’s finest gourmet cuisine, while diners at Terasu will be invited to experience a relaxed but edgy take on traditional Japanese cuisine. Ardo Rooftop will be instantly iconic, with its stunning rooftop location, offering panoramic views across the Coral Sea to the horizon.

Our parent company, Morris Group, also owns and operates a collection of hotels and luxury lodges in North Queensland including The Ville Resort-Casino, Orpheus Island Lodge, Daintree Ecolodge, and Mt Mulligan Lodge, in addition to owning Colonial Leisure Group, a Melbourne-based hospitality company that operates some of the city’s most iconic hotels.

As part of Morris Group, we are passionate about driving sustainability action and being part of the shift toward a net zero future. That’s why sustainable practices are at the heart of everything we do. We live and breathe it so that future generations can enjoy all the spoils our region has to offer. We are continuously working toward group-wide goals that focus on People, Place, and Planet. We’re on a mission to find a better way to do the work we love to make a positive impact for the world around us.

If you are looking for a work environment that focusses on employee health and wellbeing, having fun, encourages teamwork and collaboration across all levels of the business and provides a challenge then we would love to hear from you.
