JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Hotel

Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is a luxurious five-star hotel located in the heart of Broadbeach. We are situated just 200m from patrolled beaches and our hotel features 296 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, all with breathtaking Pacific Ocean or Hinterland views.

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Conference and Events Operations Manager to join our team.  This is a ‘hands on’ role and working alongside your team you will deliver exceptional service to our guests making their experience at the Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach “Magnifique”. 

The Role

  • Ensuring conference, functions and events are operated in an efficient and profitable manner
  • Ensuring team members are trained and competent in all service procedures to ensure a luxury guest experience 
  • Ensuring the ordering and replenishment of all stock required for the efficient and smooth running of the department i.e. bar and floor.
  • Liaising with customers and Chef/Kitchen brigade to ensure service times are adhered to
  • Monitoring the financial results of the department, managing and forecasting wage costs and all other expenses
  • Working closely with the Conference and Events team to ensure smooth transitions from planning to execution

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.
