JOB DESCRIPTION

At SpecTAPular Enterprises, we're all about creating incredible event experiences and sharing our love of craft beer with as many people as possible.


One big part of what we do is The annual GABS Craft Beer & Cider Festival, which attracts 50,000+ people to our festivals in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland through May/June. Featuring over 100 specially brewed Festival Beers & Ciders, a thriving marketplace of breweries and exhibitors, education, entertainment
and atmosphere, we see GABS as both a 'gateway festival' to the world of craft beer, as well as an exciting continuation of any craft beer lover's journey. Now in its 10th year GABS has been described by influential US magazine The Beer Connoisseur as "one of the best beer festivals in the world".

Roles and Responsibilities
● Brief 3-5 staff and volunteers for bump in and bump out
● Set up of beer system including taps and a chemical clean of beer lines
● Connect all kegs and assess any necessary repairs before connecting all gas
lines and regulators
● Ensure bars are fully stocked and ready for service
● Induct and manage Bar Managers and Bar Staff 1.5 hours prior to session
opening

SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:

Wednesday 17th May:   9am - 5pm

Thursday 18th May:    9am - 5pm

Friday 19th May:    9am - 12am

Saturday 20th May:    9am - 12am

Sunday 21st May:    9am - 8pm

Monday 22nd May:    9am - 5pm


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Assistant Manager
Bar Manager
Duty Manager
Food & Beverage Manager
General Manager
Restaurant Manager
Shift Manager
Venue Manager
Bar Supervisor
Food & Beverage Supervisor

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Ideally, you will need:
● Previous experience in serving alcohol, changing and handling kegs in a
fast-paced environment
● To be reliable and have a strong work ethic
● An enthusiastic and positive attitude
● To provide a high quality service at a consistent level
● A valid RSA
● To uphold stringent health and safety measures to ensure a hygienic and safe
workplace
● To be vigilant in your adherence to RSA guidelines



Interview required
