JOB DESCRIPTION

We need a Cook for our store at Supa IGA Mt Cotton.

Minimum of 20 hours Casual available with the possiblitiy of Full Time in the future.

The Role:

As the Café Cook you will work with the Cafe Chef & Cafe Manager, be responsible for cooking of a breakfast, snack and lunch seasonal menus, food preparation and presentation, opening/closing the kitchen, maintaining a clean work area and adhering to all Food Safety standards while providing excellent customer service.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Clean and organised kitchen in accordance with Food Safety regulations
  • Operate, clean and maintain all equipment safely and efficiently
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards
  • Inventory Management process
  • Basic cooking and baking
  • Safe and hygienic storage of food products
  • Meet customer dietary requirements as needed
  • Assist with food service
  • Deliver excellent Customer Service

PLEASE NOTE – this is a very demanding position so experience in a similar environment is necessary. 

Minimum of 20 hours per week casual with the possibility to move to Full Time in the future.

  • 1-2 years experience in a similar position
  • Flexible multitasking skills
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • The ability to work on a rostered shift basis and able to cover shifts when needed
  • A team player
  • Empathy and the will to help others
