We are looking for a Casual Head Cook with full time hours available for the right candidate.

Role Description:

• Overall Responsibility for the kitchen's Daily operations.
• Managing kitchen stock and ordering
• Plan, design and cost menus, liaise with employer and suppliers where fit to manage kitchen budget.
• Supervise kitchen staff and any issues that arise.
• Monitoring and controlling stock levels.
• Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed
• Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
• working with the Director on rostering and hiring of kitchen staff.
• Work closely with General Manager/Director and kitchen team to ensure smooth running of the kitchen.
• Liaising with relevant food companies for ordering.
• Managing and working closely with other chefs.
• Responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines/being responsible for health and safety and food hygiene practices.

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Food and Safety Supervisor Certificate

• Ability to work unsupervised.
