Cook required at Mr Chester Wine Bar & Bistro
We are currently seeking a skilled cook to join the team. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a similar role and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items in accordance with the menu
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting min. 1.5 years.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work late starts 3pm and early finishes usually 9pm, including evenings and weekends no later than 10pm.

In true Bistro style our food is designed to be shared over various small plates and always with wine, beer or cocktail. Evolving and adapting continuously, our chefs prepare and plate up on our large concrete bench showcasing the quality of the ingredients. Bar and Restaurant from 4pm to late Tuesday to Thursdays, Friday and Saturday 3pm to late. We’re a small team, dedicated to warm and unpretentious hospitality.
