If you decide you'd like to join our family at The Peel, you'll be joining a team of dedicated individuals who pride themselves in providing quality service to one of the most diverse demographics you'll every find in a late night club.   Being Melbourne's longest established late night GAY dance venue, The Peel knows that it wouldn't have become such an "Iconic" venue if it hadn't had the talented and devoted crew members, who, over the years found themselves serving champagne to a drag queen one minute, followed by jugs of beer to some muscle Mary the next.    

At The Peel, you won't just be serving drinks to "punters".  You'll be interacting with  individuals and groups that you would've never imagined or expected to see at the other side of a bar that you'd be working in.    So, if you're into variety and not routine.  If you're into excitment and not boredome.  If you want to be able to write a book one day or be able mesmorise your nephews and nieces with your stories about your time at The Peel and the adventures you had, come and have a go.

PS - If you're wondering why there's no specific job details about what you'll be doing in your role as a barperson at The Peel - it's because if we actually have to tell you that  - maybe The Peels not for you.   

Working in a late night bar might be one of the hardest, underappreciated  but enjoyable jobs a person can do, and we WANT you to have fun.  But you should know - at The Peel, we don't just throw people in at the deep end, we tie them up, blindfold them, spin them around - and then drop them in from 200 feet above.     If you've got what it takes, we'll know.  Whether you've got experience or not.

You NEED to have a proper, VGCCC branded RSA certificate to prove you've undertaken the Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB002) course.    OR  for applicants with no experience, you need to be already booked in to do the course.

You also NEED to provide us with proof that you're up to date with your COVID vaccinations as per the Victorian governments requirements for workers in the hospitality industry.

We're currently have shifts available for every Friday and Saturday night as well as on the eve of Public Holidays.   You can request shifts that can start as early as 8pm and finish as late as 8am.
