About the Role

As Cruise Director, you’ll be the heart of every voyage — leading our onboard hospitality team and ensuring a seamless guest experience from start to finish. You’ll coordinate all aspects of service delivery, entertainment, and event flow, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, presentation, and professionalism.

Working closely with the Master, Venue Manager, and operations team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that every cruise runs smoothly — whether it’s an elegant dining experience, a corporate event, or a spectacular private charter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and support onboard service teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

  • Oversee cruise schedules, event execution, and guest communications.

  • Manage onboard entertainment, announcements, and customer engagement.

  • Maintain compliance with safety and operational standards.

  • Act as the face of the brand — ensuring every guest leaves with lasting memories of Sydney Harbour.

About You

You’re a confident and charismatic hospitality professional who thrives on creating vibrant, memorable experiences. You lead with enthusiasm, communicate clearly, and bring a polished, professional presence to every event.

You’ll have:

  • Proven experience in hospitality, events, or tourism (leadership experience preferred).

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • A strong commitment to guest satisfaction and team success.

  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Restaurant Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) - Essential
  • Valid First Aid Certificate - Essential
